Watsons expands presence in Bahrain with new flagship

Watsons, partnering with Al-Futtaim Group, has launched a flagship store at City Centre Bahrain Mall, strengthening its presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This new store is the third Watsons location to open in Bahrain in three months.

Since entering the GCC in 2020, the health and beauty retailer has established 29 stores across the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain. 

Dr Malina Ngai, group CEO, AS Watson Group, referred to this milestone as part of its vision to expand in the region. 

“This new flagship store further strengthens our partnership with Al-Futtaim Group to serve customers in this vibrant area where high-quality beauty and health products are increasingly in demand,” she added.

The 200sqm flagship store features over 200 local and international brands organised into thoughtfully designed zones. 

Zones include the Derma Zone for personalised skincare recommendations, the Skincare Zone showcasing popular K-beauty and J-beauty brands, and a Makeup Zone and a Sustainable Zone.
Simon Naga, VP, Al-Futtaim Group,  highlighted the importance of of the launch.

“The opening of our flagship Watsons store in Bahrain is a testament to our commitment to enhancing customer experiences across the region,” said Ngai.

“As we continue to expand our footprint in the GCC market, we focus on delivering innovative retail solutions that meet the evolving needs of consumers.”
